Our illustrator Emma Block was asked to teach a drop in watercolour workshop at the inaugural Pinterest interior design awards. Emma created a bespoke workshop that would fit perfectly with the theme. It was a beautiful event, held at the Instagramable Bourne and Hollingsworth. Inspired by the trend for large scale abstract watercolour wallpaper, Emma taught the guests how to create their own watercolour backgrounds. The casual drop in nature of the workshop meant that everyone had the chance to get creative, regardless of drawing or painting skills and could take away something beautiful. The larger watercolour backgrounds are perfect for styling Instagram flat lays. Another massive trend on Pinterest is watercolour brush lettering, and Emma had guide sheets, paint and brushes on hand so that the guests could have a go at this popular art form. Emma worked with Seen Presents on this event, photography by Tribal London.
